Understanding Scoring Categories

Learn about the different factors used to rate guests and how to customize them.

Each scoring category captures a different aspect of whether someone should make your guest list.


Necessity

How essential is this person to your wedding day?

5 Absolutely must be there — the day wouldn't be the same
4 Very important — you'd be disappointed if they couldn't come
3 Would love to have them but it's not critical
2 Nice to invite but wouldn't miss them
1 Only inviting out of obligation

Likelihood to Attend

What are the chances they'll actually show up?

5: Will definitely be there
4: Very likely to attend
3: 50/50 chance
2: Probably won't make it
1: Almost certainly can't attend

Relationship Closeness

How close are you to this person?

5: Inner circle — talk regularly, deeply connected
4: Good friends — see each other often
3: Friendly — occasional contact
2: Acquaintance — rarely interact
1: Distant — haven't spoken in years
