Having trouble importing your guest list? Here are solutions to common issues.
"File format not supported"
Problem: Your file isn't being recognized.
Solutions:
- Make sure your file is .xlsx, .xls, or .csv
- If using Google Sheets, download as Excel or CSV first
- Check that the file isn't corrupted by opening it in Excel
"No data found in file"
Problem: The file uploads but shows no guests.
Solutions:
- Ensure data starts on the first sheet (for Excel files)
- Check that there are no blank rows at the top
- Make sure the first row contains column headers
"Couldn't map columns"
Problem: The system can't figure out which columns are which.
Solutions:
- Use clear column headers like "Name", "Email", "Party Size"
- Manually map columns during import if auto-detection fails
- Remove any extra columns that aren't needed
"Duplicate guests detected"
Problem: Some guests appear to be duplicates.
Solutions:
- Review the duplicates list during import
- Choose to skip, replace, or add as new
- Clean up your source file before re-importing
